Course Description
Intern doctors attend the outpatient clinic examinations under the supervision of the instructors in the Psychiatry Unit. They prepare reports that include anamnesis, mental status examination and differential diagnosis with the information they receive during the examination. Aims of the program is as follows: recognition of the psychiatric diseases which are common in society and learning the right approach to these diseases; learning the principles of rapid intervention in psychiatric emergencies; learning the appropriate approaches related to the patient-doctor relationships; developing the ability to cooperate with the treatment team. The program also includes the treatment of major psychiatric disorders such as anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, eating disorders, disruptive behaviour and dissocial disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders.
