Course Description
The objective of this program is to give clinical experience to medical students in medical ethics including an introduction to medical ethics, basic concepts and principles of medical ethics, basic ethical approaches to medical ethics, patient-physician communication models and ethical issues, medicolegal registrations on patient rights, virtue ethics, informed consent, organ transplantation, and ethical issues, clinical ethics, international codes on biomedical ethics, research and publication ethics, ethical approach to cancer patients. This program also includes legal responsibilities of physicians and malpractice, ethical issues on the beginning of life, and end of life. A structured reading list includes journal articles and newspaper articles will be discussed in this program.
