The Public Relations and Advertising Program, by means of focusing on a communication profession, aims to educate professionals who will communicate effectively; form communication bonds with the public and private sectors; be able to respond to the communication needs of the changing business world; and maintain human-centered long-term relationships. The program offers theoretical, technical and communicative competence courses, as well as internship for practical experience. The internship helps students apply learned knowledge into real business cases in a real working environment, fostering self-confidence and interpersonal communication competences. The internship period is 30 business days and can be carried out either with local or international organizations depending on the student’s preference. Our program aims to contribute to the growth of our students as professionals in the field of communication and mass communication with enriched knowledge and skills to be able to respond to the needs of the sector. The medium of instruction of the program is English.

Program Educational Objectives
The Public Relations and Advertising program aims to graduate professionals equipped with up-to-date knowledge and skills in public relations and promotion, embodied in innovative and ethical values, and who contribute to the betterment of their communities. The program aims to cultivate students who are aware of contemporary trends and new technological advancements in public relations and advertising, and who possess the knowledge and experience to successfully implement professional practices. The program's vision includes demonstrating competence in both today's and tomorrow's communications world by recognizing the importance of their geography and universal values, and developing a versatile communicator identity. It also focuses on social and professional responsibilities with a sense of responsibility.
The Public Relations and Advertising Program produce graduates who :

Program Profile
Public relations and advertising are communication disciplines, with an interdisciplinary structure closely intertwined with various social sciences. The Public Relations and Advertising program, with a curriculum that supports students' creativity, innovative ideas, and diverse thinking, aims to produce graduates equipped to design the communication environments of the future. Students have the opportunity to attend various activities within student clubs as well as those organized by the Faculty of Communication. They also have the opportunity to work at the CIU News Agency and Radio and Television studio, both within the Faculty of Communication, giving them the opportunity to develop the writing and visual presentation skills crucial for success in the fields of public relations and publicity. Every year, industry experts and respected figures teach part-time courses, give presentations, or participate in workshops. Various events, where professionals meet with students to share their knowledge and experience, significantly contribute to the professional development of our students.

Graduation Requirements
To graduate from the Associate Degree program, students must successfully complete all courses in the program curriculum, totaling 120 ECTS credits (72 national credits), receive a D/S grade, complete one summer internship within the specified time and quality, and achieve a 2.00 Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) out of 4.00.

Qualification Requirements And Regulations
Program Graduation Requirements:
1) Completion of a minimum of 120 ECTS credits.
2) Completion of all program courses and a minimum grade of "D" or "E"/"T" for credit courses and an "S" or "E"/"T" for non-credit courses.
3) Completion of a 30-day summer internship in Public Relations and Advertising and an "S" grade in the internship course.
4) A General Academic Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.00 or higher out of 4.00 is required.
Specific Admission Requirements
TRNC citizens and TR citizen candidate students who have completed their entire high school education in TRNC. They are placed in undergraduate programs in line with their success in the CIU Student Placement and Scholarship Ranking Exam and the programs they prefer.
