The Hair Care and Beauty Services Program is a two-year associate degree program designed to educate qualified, innovative, ethical, and highly skilled professionals to meet the demands of the beauty and personal care industry. The curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge with practical training, enabling students to develop both professional competencies and hands-on experience.
Throughout the program, students receive comprehensive education in hair cutting, hair coloring, hairstyling, hair care applications, skin care, basic and advanced makeup techniques, stage, cinema and television makeup, special effects (SFX) makeup, prosthetic nail applications, hand and foot care, hygiene and sanitation, professional ethics, customer relations, and salon management. The curriculum is regularly updated in accordance with current industry trends, technological developments, and internationally recognized professional standards.
Practical courses are conducted in modern laboratories equipped for hairdressing, makeup, skin care, and prosthetic nail applications. During their education, students gain practical experience through hands-on training in professional environments and further enhance their skills through compulsory summer internships and industry-oriented practical courses.
The Hair Care and Beauty Services Program aims to develop professionals who combine scientific knowledge, technical competence, creativity, and aesthetic awareness. If the content of a course previously taken at another institution is equivalent to a course offered at Cyprus International University, the student may be exempted from that course after the course content has been evaluated and with the approval of the relevant faculty/institute.

Specific Admission Requirements
Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) citizen candidates, as well as students who have completed their entire secondary education in the TRNC, are admitted to associate degree programs based on their success in the CIU Student Placement and Scholarship Ranking Exam and their program preferences.
Students who succeed in the exam can complete their registration procedures through the TRNC Promotion Office. Applications to associate degree programs can also be submitted online via the direct application portal.
