Course Description
The objective of this course is to give clinical experience to medical students in definition and history of forensic medicine, legal regulations, determination of forensic cases, collection, preservation, transportation of evidence, forensic traumatology; wound kinetics and physiopathology, injuries due to mechanical forces, regional injuries; head and neck trauma approach, sharp edged and pointed instrument injuries forensic approach, firearm injuries, the wounds from the explosion, traffic accidents, forensic anthropology, disaster victim identification, forensic toxicology, medicolegal aspects of poison, alcohol and illicit drugs, forensic report writting. This program also includes violence against woman, child abuse, sexual abuse and sex crime, crime scene investigation, definition of death and forensic death investigation, post mortem changes, sudden death, asphyxial deaths, child death, autopsy, autopsy reports.
