Course Description

The objective of this course is to give clinical experience to medical students in pediatric surgery including fluid and electrolyte management, management of trauma in children, gastroesophageal reflux, polyclinic-consultation-clinical discussion, evidence based practice in operating room, hepatobiliary system anomalies, polyclinic-consultation-clinical discussion, training meeting in department, congenital chest and abdominal wall deformities, clinical consultation, clinical discussion, gastrointestinal system anomalies, caustic ingestion, foreign body ingestion and aspiration. This course also includes ethical and legal considerations in pediatric surgery, Hirschsprung’s Disease, upper gastrointestinal bleeding, lower gastrointestinal bleeding, pediatric solid tumors, congenital genitourinary anomalies, acute abdomen, anorectal anomalies, Inguinoscrotal pathologies and congenital respiratory anomalies.
