Course Description
This studio course aims to enable students to analyze and solve medium-scale interior design problems through a holistic approach based on user requirements, technical systems, and environmental data. Within the scope of the course, spatial organization, vertical and horizontal circulation, accessibility, building systems, materials, lighting, furniture, climate, and building physics are addressed as fundamental components of the design process. Students systematically conduct research, concept development, and design processes to develop functional, aesthetic, and applicable interior space solutions. Design ideas are expressed through freehand drawing, model-making, and digital representation techniques. Emerging digital technologies and artificial intelligence-supported tools are critically utilized as supportive instruments for research, alternative development, and design evaluation processes.
