Course Description

This course will equip students with a comprehensive understanding of tourism development, planning, and policy practices. Alongside textbooks, students will analyse and critique global tourism and policy trends. Consequently, a broad range of literature sources will be utilised to provide insights into the sustainable tourism policies and approaches of various destinations and to explain how to mitigate the impacts of tourism. Key theories and concepts will be examined to understand the literature through real case examples.
