Course Description
Human Resource Management in the Tourism Industry is a course designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage human resources in the tourism industry effectively. The course will focus on the unique challenges faced by human resource managers in the tourism sector, including managing seasonal staff, addressing cultural diversity, and dealing with high turnover rates. Students will learn about the principles of human resource management, including recruitment, selection, training, and development of employees, as well as compensation, benefits, and performance management. They will also study the legal and ethical issues related to human resource management in the tourism industry, including labor laws and regulations, health and safety requirements, and the importance of diversity and inclusivity in the workplace. The course will emphasize the practical application of human resource management principles and will provide students with opportunities to develop their skills in areas such as job analysis, recruitment and selection, training and development, and performance management.
