Course Description
Geography is a vital discipline that significantly contributes to tourism studies. The geographical attributes of a destination play a crucial role in shaping its tourism appeal. Geography and tourism are inherently interconnected, and this course aims to explore that relationship. It begins with a brief overview of human history, highlighting the development of world civilizations and their unique characteristics. Following this introduction, the course will define key concepts related to geography and tourism, as well as the various factors that influence tourism. Designed to equip students with specific geographic knowledge, the course fosters a deeper understanding of the interplay between tourism and geography through a combination of written and visual materials. Students will be encouraged to gain insights into the geographical features of different regions and assess their impact on the tourism potential of global travel destinations.
