Course Description
The basic era features, types, artists, and literary works of Classic Greek and Latin literature, which form that basis of World literature, are examined. Eastern literature period features, types, artists, and literary works. Literary movements and general characteristics. As a starting point, French Literature's period features, types, artists, and literary works. British Literature, Russian Literature, American Literature, German Literature, Greek Literature, Italian Literature, and Spanish Literature periods, literary types, primary representatives, and works. Sample texts are read. Chronological and type analyses are conducted. Analyze the foundations of the literary movements the texts were written in. In addition to those covered in class, important American, Asian, African, etc., literary works and artists are examined. Selected examples from modern world literature are researched.
