Course Description

Focusing on the common themes in literary traditions that established East and Western countries' literature and compare these traditions by period and literary styles. To gain the ability to make comparisons across literatures. Show students the exchange in culture and literature across countries. Compare interactions and changes in Eastern and Western countries' literature. To determine nation and country images via texts. To see how nation and country images are shaped between the cultures and find common values among world cultures. Presenting the historical, sociological, and cultural contexts to gain depth for literary texts. In addition to literature knowledge, to provide literature pleasure and culture in a global context. To teach methods to examine, critique literature, and present comparative literature examples from the West and us.

  1. P01 Demonstrate an understanding of the core subfields of psychology — including but not limited to clinical, developmental, cognitive, social, and biological/neuroscientific psychology — and their interconnections with other scientific disciplines, critically evaluating the value of a multidisciplinary approach to scientific inquiry in psychology.
