Course Description

Social life in the Ottoman and the institutions created by the state to shape social life will be discussed in the course with a historical perspective, and it will be tried to shed light on cultural life. In this context, the Ottoman state organization and palace structure, various institutions, trade groups will be discussed in the course. In order to discuss all aspects of social life in the Ottoman, the researches and studies on the subject will be introduced and the students will be guided to the primary sources about the literature and critical thinking skills will be gained about the history of culture.
