Course Description
Within this course, students will be able to understand the basic concepts of guidance services in preschool education, the scope and quality of guidance and counseling in pre-schools, the necessity of guidance in pre- school age, the developmental characteristics of pre-school period and student characteristics at pre-school level, the vocational guidance and psychological counseling organizational models, and types of work that can be done in the field of psychological counseling and guidance in pre-school. Students will have a knowledge and gain skills on the steps to be followed in the development of a comprehensive developmental counseling and guidance program for pre-school settings, the types and planning of the work to be done with psychological counselors and parents, teachers, children in the planned studies, and the implementation of some activities in the program.
