Course Description
In this course, students will learn about the impact and the importance of communication within the field of clinical psychology. The course aims to underlie the principles of human communication within the theoretical framework of psychotherapy, observation and interview techniques and clinical psychology. Students will learn about how research on clinical interview is conducted and will further obtain knowledge about communication skills, and communication as an effective tool within therapeutic setting. Different communication problems will be examined, clinical diagnosis, and related interventions will also be studied. The goal of this class is to provide students with a broad overview of how humans communicate interpersonally, as well as in groups. Moreover, the way communication affects behavior will be studied via using videos and effective techniques such as role playing.
