Course Description
Definition and importance of science education in early childhood; principles and standards in science education; scientific process skills; nature of science, techniques and methods for teaching science education concepts and scientific thinking skills; organization of learning centers in science education; science programs used in early childhood education (Wings of Discovery, Tool Kit for early childhood science education, Eller Hamurda); examples of countries with positive effects on supporting children's development in early childhood science education and evaluation of the practices in these countries, acquisition of basic science education concepts; planning and implementation of science activities, science activities in preschool education programs, teacher competencies in planning science activities, suggestions for parents to support science education in the home environment.
