Importance of language in human life; basic concepts of language development, principles of language development and different approaches to language development; systems of language; pre-linguistic developmental stages and basic features of these stages; language development factors; factors preventing language development; considerations and measures to be taken, concept development; memory; relationship between thought and language; preparation for reading; language development activities and sample applications.

Week 1 Dilin tanımı, önemi ve dil bilimin tarihsel gelişimi
Week 2 Dil edinim kuramları. Erken çocukluk döneminde dil edinimi / Fonoloji-Morphology-Syntax-Semantic-Edim bilim (pragmatics).
Week 3 Dil edinimini etkileyen faktörler ve özel durumlar /Problem çözme
Week 4 Dil ve konuşma sorunları (Artikülasyon vb.)
Week 5 Erken çocukluk döneminde iki/çok dilli edinim
Week 6 Kavram gelişimine yönelik yaklaşımlar, kavramların sınıflandırılması ve Dil ve kavram gelişimi ilişkisi
