Course Description

Definition and principles of early childhood; basic ideas and historical development of early childhood education; shaping approaches to early childhood education, early childhood education in Turkey and the world; the developmental characteristics and needs of the child; early childhood education policies in Turkey and the world, dissemination, development and enrollment rates, examples of good practice in early childhood education, early childhood teacher training programs, public and private sector training programs for the employed teachers' professional development, the characteristics of pre-school teachers, pre-school types of educational institutions (kindergarten, kindergarten etc.), physical, social and educational environment characteristics; the monitoring mechanisms of educational institutions and educational quality standards in the country, the role and the role of the family in early childhood education.
