Course Description
In this course is intended to recognize the place of physiotherapist in public health, public health models, preventive physiotherapy methods in healthy people, children, elderly, obese and people with disabilities, community-based physiotherapy and rehabilitation concept. Physiotherapist's role in public health, preventive physiotherapy methods, community-based physiotherapy and rehabilitation concept will be studied. Students taking this course; know the place, scope and importance of the physiotherapist in public health; define physiotherapy models in public health; define and know the importance of community-based physiotherapy; create physiotherapy programs the scope of public health; know the importance of keeping record, assessment and communication in the context of physiotherapy in public health; understand the importance of preventive community-based physiotherapy and the role of the physiotherapist in occupational diseases and chronic diseases threatening society.
