Course Description
The aim of this course is to explain the role of occupational therapy in rehabilitation teamwork, define basic occupational assessment methods in the areas of performance, basic information about the development of appropriate occupational therapy approach and give practical examples. Occupational therapy assessment methods, treatment methods to gain independence in activities of daily living, self-assist tools, the principles and practices of transfer activities, hand, sensory, sensory-integration assessment and therapy, principles of occupational therapy approaches in different problems (hemiplegia, cerebral palsy, mental disabilities, rheumatology, low vision etc.), ergonomic principles, home based rehabilitation, architectural barriers and environmental regulations in disabled patients, hand training, sensory-perception-motor integration tests and training take place in the scope of this course.

- P05 Takes responsibility, individually and as a team member, to solve complex unpredictable problems encountered in practices related to the field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.
