Course Description

To develop conceptual and clinical knowledge and skills related to understanding the importance of evaluation in different fields of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, in healthy and sick individuals, to identify problems that cause limitations in quality of life and functional mobility, to select appropriate physiotherapy evaluations, and to analyze and interpret evaluation results.

Course outcomes

  1. 01 Understand the importance of evaluation and clinical decision making in different areas of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, and learn the basic principles of evidence-based evaluation.
  2. 02 Will be able to review and synthesize general principles and evaluation methods of special evaluations related to physiotherapy and rehabilitation in line with conceptual and clinical scientific developments.
  3. 03 Students will be able to identify the general problems in healthy and sick people in different age groups and analyze the factors that affect the evaluation such as cultural components.
  4. 04 Synthesize evaluation principles in different age and disease groups and form specific evaluations.

  1. Monitors conceptual and clinical scientific developments in core measurement, assessment, and treatment techniques specific to physiotherapy and rehabilitation; applies the advanced and systematic knowledge gained in professional and academic work.
  2. Uses theoretical and practical concepts and principles of physiotherapy and rehabilitation to critically evaluate and integrate information from other disciplines, generate new knowledge, and develop problem-solving and clinical decision-making abilities.
  3. Designs research plans and participates in projects; selects appropriate statistical methods for their studies, interprets results, prepares reports, and presents findings at scientific meetings or publishes them.
  4. Independently conducts specialized practices and research in physiotherapy and rehabilitation in accordance with ethical principles; contributes professional knowledge and skills responsibly within team-based work.
  5. Identifies personal learning needs and goals, pursues lifelong learning, and contributes to quality improvement, professional training, and outreach programs.
  6. Contributes to public health and health policy; raises awareness among individuals, families, and communities about educational, preventive, and rehabilitative approaches.
