Course Description
Within the scope of this course, the characteristics of human chromosomes, chromosomal terminology used in medical genetics, hereditary changes observed in humans, and methods of examining them are taught to students. While the characteristics of human chromosomes are given comparatively, the chromosome terminology used in medical genetics is also explained. In this context, hereditary changes observed in humans are also conveyed to students with examples. Methods of examining them in humans are also listed. In addition, morphological features of human chromosomes, Karyotype preparation, Hereditary changes, and polygenic inheritance examples in humans, Immunogenetic and Genetic counseling are given to students in detail, and they are provided with detailed information about human genetics.
