Course Description

This course aims to enable students to evaluate human factors, anthropometric data, and ergonomic principles in interior design through a user-centered design approach. The course covers static and dynamic human body measurements, ergonomic standards, accessibility, universal design principles, and physical environmental conditions affecting user comfort. Students analyze anthropometric data according to different user groups and space types and integrate these findings into design decisions. The relationships between human behavior, safety, functionality, user experience, and ergonomics are evaluated through practical examples. The course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to systematically integrate user requirements into the interior design process.
