Course Description

Exlibris is a contemporary design medium although has traditional roots. Designers interpret this kind of work with new approaches in this traditional base. The practical part of the course can be done both by traditional printmaking techniques and digital printout. Ex-libris is also a collection element as much as being a communication tool. Students learn to use text and image in an artistic harmony during the course. Different printing techniques, design approaches and cultural background of exlibris are covered within the course. The outcome works of this course can be sent to national or international exlibris competitions and group exhibitions. Hence, students have the opportunity to participate such artistic events.
