Course Description

This studio course aims to enable students to address the interior design of large-span and functionally complex public buildings through a holistic design approach. Within the scope of the course, spatial organization, wayfinding systems, accessibility, structural solutions, acoustics, HVAC systems, fire safety, lighting, materials, and furniture systems are integrated into the design process. Adaptive reuse, renovation, and the re-evaluation of existing buildings are examined according to user experience, environmental comfort, and technical performance criteria. Students develop research-based design approaches by utilizing digital representation techniques, emerging digital technologies, and artificial intelligence-supported design tools. The course aims to develop original interior design solutions that integrate technical requirements, aesthetic values, and sustainable design principles.
