Course Description

This studio course aims to enable students to address complex interior design problems through public use, adaptive reuse, and contemporary design approaches. Within the scope of the course, spatial organization, building systems, material selection, accessibility, building physics, lighting, furniture systems, and environmental comfort in public spaces such as offices, healthcare facilities, hospitality buildings, and similar environments are evaluated through a holistic design approach. Students develop their design processes by utilizing research methods, concept development, advanced presentation techniques, and digital representation methods. Emerging digital technologies and artificial intelligence-supported design tools are critically employed as supportive instruments for research, alternative generation, and the evaluation of design decisions. The course aims to enable students to interpret different design approaches and develop original and applicable interior design solutions.
