Week 2 Introduction to the history and theory of conservation (LO1, LO3)
Week 3 History of restoration and preservation 1 and 2 (19. and 20. century), International organizations for protecting cultural property, Concept of World Heritage List, National and international legistration and administration (LO1, LO3)
Week 4 Deteriorations of historic buildings, Intervention types of restoration 1 and 2 (consolidation, reintegration, tranfer of the monument, cleaning, renovation, reconstruction, archaeological restoration), Modern techniques using the restoration (LO2)
Week 5 Scientific research before restoration (LO2)
Week 6 Technical trip to the old city of Nicosia (LO1, LO2, LO3)
