Course Description

To attain a high level of complex and multilevel problem solving ability in graphic design using a variety of design methodologies; to design creative upper level graphic design projects using symbolism as well as various visual media such as photography, typography, illustration. It builds on the studies completed in Graphic Design I. and teaches advanced problem-solving skills, concept development and project management. It applies intermediate level production techniques to 2D and 3D graphic design using current technologies and principles of pre-press production. It aims to create comprehensive final projects for portfolio-level work, examine ethical issues concerning design and production, apply well-developed project management skills, and discuss current design issues and trends.
