Course Description

The objective of the course is to enable the students to master the segmental and suprasegmental phonemes, develop their listening skills by working on diverse authentic listening texts. This course will also enable the students to recognise the place and the manner of articulation of the sounds in English. The students will be able to analyse the problematic areas regarding the articulation of certain sounds and sound groups. It also aims to enable the students to develop Standard English as much as possible and to equip them with a strong sensitivity towards different accents of English spoken around the world.
