Course Description
In this course, quality performance measurements and measurement methods will be introduced. The subject will be covered by considering the examples of both national and international organizations. Evidence-based oral health and care-based performance measures, accreditations and clinical performance measurements will be explained. This course will focus on promoting and supporting professional accountability, transparency and value in oral health care through the development, implementation and evaluation of performance measurement and medical services based on the four dimensions of quality from the patient's perspective. Concepts like empathy, responsiveness, reliability, and strengthening the capacity of dentistry and dental staff will be taught, in order to provide sustainable and quality service. The learning will be supported by practical applications within the course.

- P01 The students graduating from the program of dentistry will be able to describe the human body systems and functions and relations to the dentofacial system, recognize pathological conditions, list the preventive measures and express clearly their necessity and importance and act as competent, creative, and ethical practitioners who communicate effectively and view the human organism as an integrated whole.
