Course Description

This course covers basic concepts related to the family, theories related to the family, the family system, family functions, family structure and dynamics, communication and conflicts in healthy families, common parenting attitudes and discipline methods, the importance and history of family counseling, concepts related to family counseling, theories of family counseling, reasons for family counseling, problems of families with different characteristics, family education, social policies related to the family, family crises such as divorce and death, and family-centered practices.
