NEUROLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT

Course Description

This course includes the historical development of the brain-body relationship, the nervous system, the structure and function of the nerve cell, the structure and function of the central and peripheral nervous systems, brain development and factors affecting brain development, brain lobes, the structure, functions and impairments of these lobes, the limbic system structure, function and impairments, cerebral asymmetries, brain dysfunction and psychiatric diseases, methods used in the evaluation of brain functions, the effects of brain problems on behavior and emotions.

5. L05 Cerebral palsy is the most common cause of permanent disability in childhood and is a non-progressive motor disorder. The aim of the course is to discuss the diagnostic and clinical features of cerebral palsy and the multidisciplinary approach and rehabilitation approach. SOLO 3
6. L06 Discuss the characteristics of childhood epilepsy and know the emergency care for a child experiencing a seizure. SOLO 3
7. L07 Adopts an interdisciplinary teamwork approach in chronic neurological diseases. SOLO 3
