Course Description
The course aims to provide students with a basic understanding and appreciation of the functioning of a business enterprise on a national and international scale. Students are introduced to several important business areas, complementing the subjects covered in BUSN101. The course will emphasize basic concepts and issues peculiar to the effective organization and management of business enterprises such as leadership, employees’ motivation, marketing, consumer behavior, pricing, management information systems, human relations, finance and money. On successful completion of this course, all students will have developed knowledge and understanding regarding the important factors to consider in production and operations, managing people in organizations, the importance of properly applying the principles of marketing and the central role played by financial issues.
