Course Description

The course offers participants the opportunity to develop the professional, technical, social and administrative skills needed to deliver a high quality tour guiding service for tourists visiting. Tour guides plan and implement tour itineraries groups in many contexts. Guides require the ability to retain facts, figures and folklore and present the information to tourists in an entertaining and interesting way. In this lesson you will learn how to: Understand the structures and profiles of the tourism and hospitality sectors. • Employ a range of communication, information and customer care skills. Manage and conduct tours on behalf of a tour operator/provider or as a self-employed guide. • Implement best safety and environmental practices. • Implement tour management skills and techniques.

Program Outcomes

  1. Adequate knowledge in mathematics, science and engineering subjects pertaining to the relevant discipline; ability to use theoretical and applied knowledge in these areas in complex engineering problems.
  2. Ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems; ability to select and apply proper analysis and modelling methods for this purpose.
  3. Ability to design a complex system, process, device or product under realistic constraints and conditions, in such a way as to meet the desired result; ability to apply modern design methods for this purpose.
  4. Ability to devise, select, and use modern techniques and tools needed for analysing and solving complex problems encountered in engineering practice; ability to employ information technologies effectively.
