Course Description
The students who complete this course will be able to know the main definitions of the concept of ethics, morality, professional ethics. Historical development of social work ethics, social work code of ethics and its transformation in the world and and in Turkey, different approaches in Ethics and their place in social work practice (Kantian ethics, utilitarian ethics, feminist ethics, radical ethics, critical ethics, etc), ethical dilemmas, ethical violations and ethical problems, ethics in academic and research work. A detailed examination of occupational ethics, principles and values in social work and the discussion of ethical dilemmas and solution strategies that can be encountered in professional practice.
