Course Description

Definitions, migration and history of diaspora, related international conventions, national regulations, psycho-social, economic, health, education, safety issues of asylum seekers and refugees, social work with refugees. Besides, the within the scope of this course, the student will learn and analyze the history of migration from the perspective of advanced generalist social service, definitions, policies related to asylum seekers and refugees, national and international legal regulations, integration of psychologic, social, economic, education, health and safety problems of refugees and micro- mezzo-macro social work to provide the concepts and discussions of their interventions. Students will have knowledge of reflections and diaspora issues in a national and international context, integrating them in micro-mezzo and macro level and reflecting them on social work practices.
