Course Description
Provide information on Cyprus Turkish literature's basic concepts and its formation. Reflections of the social and political events on literature. Periods of Cyprus Turkish Literature. Thematic and structural developments in poetry, novel, story, theatre, memoir, essay, and travel writings according to periods are evaluated. Anonymous folk literature products, classic Cyprus Turkish poetry, Contemporary Cyprus Turkish poetry's main tendencies, key figures and their works will be compared with Turkish literature. Factors influencing prose development in Cyprus Turkish Literature, introduction of key authors and works. Sample texts are analyzed. Cyprus Turkish press activities, the role of newspaper and magazine in the development of literature are examined in addition to research conducted on sources.
