Course Description

The course introduces and discusses new developments and current trends in social psychology. It is an elective course of social psychology so mainly important and crucial topics in social psychology are discussed based on the results of recent research studies and findings presented in the journal articles. This course is crucial for the students who are planning to get higher education within social psychology. The aim of the course is to provide the students with an understanding of the important and crucial concepts, procedures, and topics in social psychology. The topic will include social influence processes, interpersonal relations and attraction, stereotypes – prejudice – discrimination, gender roles, in-group and out-group processes, and applied social psychology.

  3. P03 Employ logical, intuitive, and creative thinking to analyze psychological concepts, evaluate theories (including their historical and philosophical development), synthesize information, and solve complex problems related to cognition and behavior.

P04 Integrate psychological theories and findings into practical settings (e.g., business, policy, clinical/counseling contexts, and daily life), applying foundational applied skills such as interviewing, observation, and case formulation, drawing meaningful conclusions to inform individual, organizational, and societal practices.
