Course Description

In this course, concepts of child abuse and neglect are covered in the context of children's rights and the healthy development of the child. The types of child abuse and neglect, the explanations of child abuse and neglect, and the effects of child abuse are discussed. The course also covers factors related to child abuse and negligence or risk of occurrence, individual, familial, social, and other conditions related to child abuse and neglect, legal issues related to child abuse and neglect. Information and intervention mechanisms in case of child abuse and neglect, ethical principles to be considered in child abuse and neglect, and the ways to be followed are discussed. True and false perceptions of child abuse and neglect, Methods of working with abused or neglected children are taught.
