Course Description
This course focuses on aesthetics, art, philosophy of art, the difference between aesthetics and philosophy of art, aesthetics and functional processes in the production and consumption (perception) of art, topics in arts, style, the identification of technical and material properties in art, concepts such as space and time dimensions in art and similar concepts, which are being used for centuries in the interpretation of art works, construct the basic concepts of aesthetics. The course also aims to teach students the relationship between aesthetics, art, artist and creativity, effects of art, ethics. From antique age to the nineteenth century, aesthetics and theories of art philosophy will be emphasized. The topics related to aesthetics and philosophy of art will be discussed in the context of the contemporary period. This course also aims to examine the relationship between aesthetics and art and non-art phenomena in historical processes and contribute to the aesthetic development of the individuals.
