Course Description
This course aims to demonstrate to a student the innovations and the improvements, the recent advances in dentistry with the adoption of digital technologies in all forms to improve the quality of dental restorations and patient satisfaction. Students use CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/ Computed Aided Manufacturing) systems to design and create crowns, bridges, removable dentures, and other types of prostheses quicker than was possible before. The student learns using advanced 3D printing technology, CAD/CAM turns a computer model into a physical reality. The correct indication and application are prerequisites and crucial for the success of the overall therapy. Students learn and understand the combination of technology and the right treatment of a patient.
