Course Description

The aim of this course is to teach advanced fixed prosthesis knowledge theoretically and practically to protect and maintain function, aesthetics, dental arch integrity and patient comfort; to teach theoretical knowledge about implant supported fixed prostheses for gaining proficiency in prosthesis planning and application; to teach aesthetic concepts in dentistry and their relations with fixed prosthetic dentistry; to introduce full ceramics, providing information about their contents, classification, application areas and methods of each group; to teach the digital applications for fixed prosthodontics like optical impressions, CAD/ CAM systems, visual shade matching, digital smile designing. The student comprehends diagnosis and treatment planning of situations that need treatment in the aesthetic area in prosthetic dentistry; knows full ceramic systems; comprehends importance and advantages of digital dentistry.
