COMMUNICATION IN HEALTH

Course Description

Students will have information about the definition of health, definition of disease, introduction of communication, the purpose of communication, the basic elements of the communication process in healthcare, the communication conditions, communication barriers, the communication in health, the target audience in health communication, objectives and importance of health communication, the levels of communication in health care, the communication of healthcare personnel with patients, the communication of healthcare personnel with patient’s relatives, the communication of healthcare personnel with disabled, the communication with patients and their relatives in terminal period, stages of the communication between health workers and patients, wrong and correct behaviour of communication between health workers and patients and their relatives, the good communication benefits between health workers and patients and their relatives, behaviour and empathy, body language.
