Course Description

This course aims to provide the knowledge and skills associated with identifying problems at the level of disorder, activity, and the participation of patients that physiotherapists encounter frequently during their clinical work. Also, determining the appropriate physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches based on evidence-based data will be covered. Based on the Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) Model of Functioning and Disability, target problems and mediators, selecting appropriate measures and planning implementation and coordinating interventions as well as patient’s needs, limiting factors, short term and long term objectives of treatment will be discussed. In addition, it is aimed to develop patient-centered clinical problem solving skills by enabling students to discuss personal and environmental factors that may affect treatment approaches.
