Course Description

Utilisation principles of electrotherapy devices used in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, types of electrical stimulation and currents used in treatment, application methods, physiological effects, electrodiagnostic tests and demonstration of example applications.This course aims to be able to know biophysical and physiological basics of low-frequency currents; to be able to apply low frequency currents according to biophysical and physiological basics in different pathologies; to be able to apply and choose convenient electrotherapy methods in physiotherapy sections; to be able to use electrodiagnosis in follow-up of healing; to be able to know the risks that may occur during the implementation of low frequency currents; to be able to protect against possible damages by using proper low frequency currents tools and equipments
