Course Description

Definition of biomechanics, identification of general biomechanics terminology, biomechanical assessment methods, definition of kinesiology, movement and movement types, movement analysis, properties of healthy bone and the functional adaptation of tbe bones to normal and pathological stresses, bone diseases, mechanical structure and pathokinesiology of muscle, cartilage and collagen tissues, classification of joints, sinovial joints, joint movements, relation between movement directions and planes, joint limitations and contractures, posture andbalance, directions of movement planes and axes.Students taking this course, the functions of the body joints, add comments regarding the problem of the mechanisms of mechanical and selecting the necessary information, develop problem-solving skills in practice.

Course outcomes

  1. 01 Will be able to define the topics covered by kinesiology and will be able to record the awareness of forming a basis for physiotherapy.
  2. 02 Classify the mechanical principles of motion and relate these principles in the analysis of human movements.
  3. 03 Describe the mechanical and pathomechanics of bone, muscle, cartilage and collagen tissue.
  4. 04 Define the functions, mechanics of body joints and the mechanisms of joint problems and develop problem solving skills in practice with this knowledge.
  5. 05 Define information about balance, weight transfer and orientation planes.

Program Outcomes

  1. P01 Has up-to-date theoretical and applied knowledge about Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.
