Course Description

The purpose of this course is to understand how knowledge of human strengths and limitations can lead to better system design. Course is designed to teach the importance of human element in work environment, work environment design. Thus ultimately to teach the different approaches of human factors that help to reduce errors, increase productivity, enhance safety and comfort. The research methods and principles in ergonomics that can be provide more efficient and comfortable places for working and living will be explored by considering the human body and work physiology, biomechanics, anthropometry, information processing and environmental factors. Understand Human biology, physiology and anthropometry in order to accomplish fatigue assessment of workers. Information retrieval and control in humans, and fundamentals of industrial product design.
