Course Description

The purpose of this course is to investigate the physiotherapy and rehabilitation assessment and treatment approaches in some special and a few common problems. The scope of this course includes to provide an understanding of the specific evaluation and optimal treatment methods in different areas of physiotherapy such as physiotherapy and rehabilitation in peripheral nerve injuries, facial paralysis, burns, headaches, leprosy and skin diseases, pre and postnatal physiotherapy, childbirth education, gynecological problems, geriatric rehabilitation and cancer rehabilitation. Students who complete the course that is including evidence-based approaches, can explain the changes that occur in the body systems due to aging or cancer; the physical and physiological changes in the body due to pregnancy; the common problems in pregnancy and apply physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches.
