Course Description

The aim of this course is; to decide the appropriate prosthesis for amputation or congenital limb deficiency patients, to plan appropriate treatment programs for amputee patients, to gain awareness of advanced technological applications in prosthetics and rehabilitation. The causes of amputation, the amputation levels, congenital amputations, the necessary assessments according to the rehabilitation stages patients with an indication prosthesis, mechanical fundamentals of prosthesis, types of prosthesis, walking problems in lower limb amputees, early and temporary prostheses applications, myoelectric prostheses, advanced technological prostheses and amputee rehabilitation, upper extremity amputee rehabilitation, stages, appropriate physical therapy approaches and education with prostheses, early and temporary prostheses, advanced technological prosthesis in the upper and lower extremity amputations take place in the scope of this course.
