Course Description

The course aims to explain the physiological changes that occur along with age progression, to make the students understand the applications of the evaluation and exercise programs for healthy and handicapped elderly, to make them aware about healthy aging and quality of life. Describe the clinical features observed in geriatric healthy and ill patients and associate them with appropriate physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches; Learn about the physiological responses of geriatric patients in various diseases; Gain experience in geriatric patient evaluation, definition and interpretation of patients' problems; Plan and implement appropriate treatment approaches; In geriatrically diverse diseases, he / she acquires a multidisciplinary working ability with other health personnel providing geriatric care.
